A “fully enclosed ISO shipping container” refers to a container with six rigid sides complying with the International Organisation of Standardisation (ISO) container standards. For further advice please contact your shipper.

When I enter my company number I get a message saying the number must be 8 digits, what can I do?

If your company number has fewer than 8 digits, put “0”s in front to make it 8 digits, e.g. “123456” should be entered as “00123456”.

 

My shipment is being transported by more than one conveyance, which conveyance should I choose?

What metals are classed as “precious metals”?

Asmium, Gold, Iridium, Palladium, Platinum, Rhodium, Ruthenium and Silver.

 

What goods fall into “Glassware”?

Any item of a fragile nature made of glass, such as but not limited to sheet glass, glasses, vases, bowls, plates but not including glass parts within manufactured goods which are predominately made of a non fragile material.

 

What goods fall into “Ceramics”?

Any item of a fragile nature made of pottery such as but not limited to figurines, vases, pots, bowls, plates but not including floor/wall tiles customary packed.

 

What cards are accepted for payment?

We accept payment by MasterCard, Delta, Visa, JCB, Solo, Switch and Maestro. We do not accept American Express.

 

How do I receive confirmation of payment?

An email is sent to your registered email address confirming payment.

 

My shipment is leaving after the estimated departure date on my certificate, do I still have cover?

Provided the shipment details and method of transport have not changed, your certificate is valid.

 

Who do I contact in the event of a loss?

Any loss can be reported to Tokio Marine Europe Insurance Limited, or to one of the overseas agents if the loss occurred outside the United Kingdom. Contact details are available in the claims section of our website.
