Financial Services Authority

With effect from the 14th January 2005 all firms involved in the selling and administration of general insurance (including Cargo Insurance) are required to be registered by the Financial Services Authority (FSA).

Selling and administering includes arranging, promoting, completing proposal forms and receiving monies in payment of premiums.

You can check our registration, Drakefield Insurance Services Limited, by visiting the FSA website http://www.fsa.gov.uk or calling them on +44 (0)845 606 1234.

The FSA lays down in its rules the way that regulated firms: -

  • Promote, sell and administer general insurance products
  • Deal with complaints
  • Handle client monies
  • Recruit, supervise and train their staff
  • Provide minimum levels of capital and professional indemnity

We are required to provide information about ourselves (called Initial Disclosure) and full details on the products that we offer. If you have any questions about the way in which we are regulated please contact the Compliance Officer with your query.
